Recent addition: Sanofi

Friday February the 23th I have purchased 18 shares of Sanofi, a stock which is sold on the Paris stock exchange.

At a P/E of 10,71, a dividend pay out ratio of 44% and EPS of €6,71 in 2017, this seemed like a nice opportunity. The stock has seen a lot of red days the last few years but long term it should be a solid investment. They have also increased their dividend 24 years in a row which almost makes them an Aristocrat, very exciting stuff.

I paid €65,06 after fees per share, for a total sum of €1171, this brings my YoC to 4,66% and I will get paid a net €46,36, which they distribute all at once in May.

This also gives me a slightly better currency diversification, which is one of my 2018 goals. After this addition my investments in Euro based companies is at 20,95%. Currently the other 79,05% is all invested in US dollars. I am looking to spread this out a bit more and I’m even interested in adding Canadian and English stocks.

New yearly projected net dividends:

What have you recently purchased? What do you think of my purchase? I’d be glad to hear about it!

Happy investing!
