Monthly update: June
June has passed, we’re already halfway done with this year! It’s time to review the month of June!
-Dividend income: €89,11
-YoY income growth: 70,94%
-Acquired first non-dividend stock: JD.com
-Contributed €960,26 to my portfolio
I’ve transferred €960,26 to my personal portfolio this month. Yet I have also started an account with my broker to periodically invest in ETF’s and this month I started with an amount of €195,59. These funds include fresh capital, return of crowdfunding investments and dividend reinvestments.
This month I made quite a special transaction, I’ve bought my first ever non-dividend stock; JD.com. I’ve decided to diversify a little extra geographically and also in different kind of stocks (growth stocks). But don’t worry I will stay DGI oriented and fiercly hope JD will pay a dividend down the road.
The purchase consisted of 33 shares of JD.com at a cost of $39,412 per share for a total of $1300,61.
-Starbucks gave us an update on their numbers which was dissapointing to a lot of investors, for me it would have created a buying opportunity if I had more cash. They also announced a small dividend increase of 20%! This gained me $9,60 pre-tax. Starbucks opted to increase the dividend a quarter earlier than normal, which is always a welcome surprise.
-Realty Income also announced one of their clockwork increases, it’s small yet it was very welcome. They increased their dividend by 0,2% and this gained me a whopping $0,18 pre-tax.
Net May increases: $8,31
The total net dividends for June were:
Making for a total of €89,11
This means I increased my dividends with 70,94% year over year. Some great progress if I may say so myself!
These are the companies which contributed this month:
Last month I crossed the €100 mark for the first time, this was mostly because of a yearly dividend payment of Sanofi. Yet this month I’m getting close to the €100 again without any ‘special’ payments, it’s is really motivating to see my income grow this aggressively.
Thank you for reading, I hope your June dividends were just as great as mine!
